The Service Technician-Medical Equipment Delivery Driver will deliver or pick up, and set up medical equipment in different facilities including, nursing homes, hospice and patient homes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Stocks and organizes equipment to be delivered.
- Delivers, sets up and services DME equipment as needed.
- Educates the patient and/or caregiver on how to use the equipment properly and safely.
- Ensures proper completion of tickets for equipment pickup and deliveries.
- Completes routine checks on assigned truck.
- Performs other duties as related to the position.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good driving record.
- Comply with DOT regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to drive 16 ft box truck.
- Ability to lift/maneuver equipment of up to 75pounds.
- Able to work weekends and be on-call rotation.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience required.
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment experience preferred.
- One year of delivery experience preferred.
