About the role:

Spin DJ Academy offers inclusive music education programs to all people. Your role would be to instruct DJ and electronic music lesson classes on controllers, turntables, and/or CDJs. We will combine your skillset with our proven electronic music curriculums to create a diverse class and lesson roster. We have big goals for this music company and you will be on the frontlines working with students to make their musical dreams come true. We pride ourselves on having the best teaching staff and our DJ programs thrive when fueled by engaging and motivating instructors.

What we expect from you:

A schedule of open availability for us to fill with students. (You will be more likely to be interviewed if you can offer weekend and weeknight availability)

At least 1 year of teaching experience

Ability to transform any student into a capable DJ

Strong written, verbal, and digital communication and presentation skills.

Excellent time management skills

Professional and impressive Zoom lesson setup and presentation

The ability to engage students of all ages and levels and get them excited about music

You can retain students for long periods

Learn and use our business software: Zoom, JotForm, Wellness Living, Gmail, and Google Sheets. Will provide training.

A passion for learning and a desire for growth.

You must be coachable and trainable in our programs

You understand how to behave professionally and are reliable for consistent and clear communication.

Extra Credit if:

You are currently performing semi-regularly and are capable of combining a performance and instruction schedule.

You have a proven track record of success with students.

We are looking for people with prior teaching experience and a functional impressive virtual lesson setup. If we set up an interview please plan on joining from where you would be teaching lessons from.

PLEASE NOTE* We are currently looking for people who teach DJ primarily. If you teach Music Production that's a plus but not mandatory. We are also favoring candidates that are able to offer up Weekend AND Weeknight availability. Weekends are mandatory but weeknights are not. ALSO, the pay range is $18/hr - $50/hr. This is listed that way because the hourly rate for private lessons is typically between $18 - $28/hr and the hourly rate for group lessons can range from $24 - $150/hr or possibly more depending on the number of participants.

Pay: $18.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
