Summary:

 

 

As a member of the accounting team, the Controller is responsible for managing the daily accounting functions related to manufacturing. The Team Member will prepare all financial information related to this division is consistent with Corporate Policy and Guidelines and complies with all generally accepted accounting principles.

 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

     Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment and grow our "Safety First Culture"

     Direct the daily financial activities for the Division including the financial close and reporting process. Ensure all transactions are properly documented, reviewed, approved, and recorded in accordance with division guidelines, company policies, and generally accepted accounting principles

     Provide direct support contact for the daily functions of the Made2Manage Accounting and Manufacturing Computer Systems. Implement, as needed, necessary changes to the system to meet business needs. Coordinate system training as needed. Work with IT Support to ensure the system functions as defined and needed and that issues related to performance are address promptly

     Develop and implement specific procedures and practices to facilitate the daily accounting operations

     Provide specific financial support to Woodhaven Management as it relates to all operational issues

     Developing and implementing specific processes to support the standard costing system. Assist management in evaluating various businesses

     Provide support to both internal and external auditors to address all issues related to various audits of the division

     Perform related duties as required or assigned by supervision

 

 

 

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

 

 

     Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Required)

     Accounting: 10+ years (Preferred)

 

 

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

 

     Knowledge of GAAP and associated applications

      Intermediate or Advanced expertise in Excel

     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

      Excellent communication skills

     Experience with ERP systems

     Demonstrated experience with General Ledger, period end processes, and financial statement presentation and analysis

     Administration and Management skills

      Organization and Efficiency

     Knowledge of SOP

     Knowledge of all jobs in the department
