Job Description
Position Summary:
The Director of Sales reports to the Vice President of Sales and manages the execution of sales plans and initiatives. The Director of Sales priorities are sales growth, strategic planning, tactical support, problem resolution and employee development. The Director of Sales will lead assigned IPS divisions and will directly manage Division Sales Managers, Sales Managers or other Managers as assigned by the Vice President of Sales.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop annual sales plans in support of organizational strategy and objectives that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Develop and manage sales operating budgets for assigned divisions.
- Maintain a close working relationship with Managers of other departments, such as Operations, Procurement, Accounting, Human Resources and Customer Service.
- Assist managers, as required, with branch duties. Examples include: resolving AR issues, clearing deadstock, creating stocking programs, event coordination, proofreading, reviewing financial statements, etc.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, delegating, directing work, performance appraisals, rewards and disciplining employees, addressing complains and resolving problems.
- Position Responsibilities
- Communicate company policies, procedures, and ethics codes to direct reports and adheres to them personally.
- Meet with key clients, assist Managers and Sales Representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiations, problem resolution and closing new business.
Essential Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin or related field
- 10+ years of management experience
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience
- Packaging Industry Knowledge Preferred
