Position: District Sales Representative

Reports to: Director of Sales
OT Status: Exempt
Purpose: The District Sales Representative (DSR) serves as a liaison between dealers and Hestan and is responsible for achieving top-line sales revenue and sales operational goals in their designated zone for the company. The DSR is responsible for developing and executing business initiatives to reach sales goals and must clearly understand top dealer strategies, goals, plans, and policies to help build business.
TO FULFILL THIS POSITION SUCCESSFULLY, AN INDIVIDUAL MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM EACH ESSENTIAL FUNCTION SATISFACTORILY.
Essential Functions:
- Create a strategic sales plan and detailed customer interactions and opportunities tracking.
- Follow-up on leads to generate new business.
- Work to establish new accounts in the territory.
- Sells Hestan products in an assigned territory.
- Monitor existing accounts and regularly communicate with primary contacts for the account.
- Work toward increasing sales growth in the territory at an established rate determined by the Director of Sales.
- Assists with coordinating sales efforts for other territories and Sales Representatives.
- Build account relationships with assigned dealer accounts.
- Achieve sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Train dealer partners on how to best position and sell our products to end consumers. Both in the field and in the Anaheim factory.
- Delivers marketing and communication support to top dealer accounts.
- Participate with the sales management team in developing sales strategies for the business.
- Show entrepreneurial spirit in managing the assigned territory and P&L.
- Monitor and capture competitor activities and ensure appropriate strategies to combat their movements.
- Provide support to our service team.
- Submit a yearly merchandising plan detailing how they intend to maximize sales plan dollars for short-term quota realization and long-term market growth.
Other supporting functions:
- Help to achieve company strategic objectives, including, but not limited to, achieving budgeted sales and performing administrative duties, for example, timely submission of spiffs, expenses, mileage claims, and dealer claims.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: THE REQUIREMENTS LISTED BELOW ARE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION SUCCESSFULLY.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of selling premium appliance and/or outdoor grilling industry experience required.

- Must possess proficient English skills, both written and verbal.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel daily and spend most of the day in a vehicle.
- Valid driver’s license and no major driving violations.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $83,900.00 - $125,850.00 per year
