Hayward Holdings Inc. (NYSE "HAYW") is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment in the world, with a significant presence in the commercial pool market that is continuously growing. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. The preferred location for this role is Southern Florida or Texas.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the District Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new customers and driving sales throughout Latin America (i.e. LATAM), which includes, but not limited to, South & Central America and Caribbean. This position will support key pool builders/dealers/distributors and work closely with the Hayward sales and service forces in order to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
In this role you will
- Manage about 50 direct customer accounts
- Champions sales promotions throughout the region
- Identify leads and develops opportunities to win bids on commercial pool projects
- Gathers market information to determine customer requirements, volume potential, competitive pricing.
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on distributors, dealers, builders, OEM's and prospective customers to obtain new business and expand existing business.
- Trains dealers and distributors on product as well as sales and advertising techniques.
- Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and explains features and attributes and advantages over competition.
- Develops sales campaigns to achieve goals of company.
- Represents Company at trade shows to promote product.
- Coordinates between customer service, technical service, engineering and other departments as appropriate.
- Controls expenditures of personal geographic district to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Provides input and implements annual sales plan for the territory, including sales strategy, to maximize return from the territory's assigned accounts/geographic area and to meet the territory's sales quotas established by the Managing Director.
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive list and profile of key accounts and contacts (direct and non-direct) in a computerized database program.
- Prepares monthly progress reports, monthly itinerary, weekly call reports and weekly expense reports in a timely manner and submits to Managing Director.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
- Global travel is 50%.
Qualifications:
Do you have what it takes?
- A minimum of 3-5 years of Sales experience.
- A sustained level of sales achievement, a broad knowledge of swimming pool equipment, and complete knowledge of the organizations policies and products. Working knowledge of electronic chlorine generation, and solar, gas and electric heaters is a plus. Familiarity with automated control systems, basic electricity, plumbing hydraulics and/or water chemistry is a plus.
- Personal computer skills and mechanical capability is essential. Must also possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive long distances and travel by plane.
- Must be allowed to travel to the countries throughout LATAM.
- Fluent in Spanish and English is required. Portugues is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred.
