JOB GOAL: In a collaborative and supportive manner, provide technology support across all platforms required to ensure student and District success.
Essential and Marginal Functions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Train staff at the building level to follow proper IT operating procedures.
- With the use of third party applications; set up and deploy all District devices, which includes imaging and managing upgrades.
- Manage and maintain an accurate accounting and reporting of District technology and inventory.
- Provide quality assurance for new or reassigning devices.
- Participate in long term and short term technology planning.
- Implement and enforce network technology standards.
- Oversee the process of Audio/Visual installation projects.
- Identify trends in user issues, hardware and software problems and facilitate solutions with network users.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of trends and developments related to network systems and district devices.
- Assist with ensuring data and network integrity and security.
- Perform troubleshooting functions, hardware repairs and part replacements on District devices as necessary.
- Document procedures for District users and maintain internal IT procedures.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work productively with the Technology Department as part of a fluid, dynamic, and flexible cross-departmental team.
- Setup of network printers.
- Assist in the development and instruction for programs related to technology staff skills.
- Must be willing to engage in ongoing professional development.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Associate Degree in related field or higher preferred.
- Experience working with various hardware.
- Knowledge of local area network architecture including DHCP, WINS, VPN and IP addressing.
- Knowledge of local area network applications and operating systems, including groupware and virus protection.
- Knowledge of infrastructure requirements, protocols, diagnostic tools and components of local area networks.
- Ability to provide training to others in the use of hardware and software.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Valid PA Driver's License required and must have the ability to travel to various locations based on need.
- Ability to support a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Other qualifications to the above that the Board may find acceptable and appropriate.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full year
EVALUATION: For new employees, evaluations will be done according to the current collective bargaining agreement. For transferring employees, evaluations will be done at 30 days. All regular employees will be evaluated at least yearly.
