About the District Manager:
District Managers lead and inspire our General Managers and teams. We want District Managers who strive to achieve excellence in all aspects of the business and thrive in a dynamic, multi-unit environment. We are looking for someone to develop creative team member engagement strategies and foster a culture of continuous internal growth and development.
What does a DM do? In short…
- Responsible for all areas of performance management in district.
Coach and mentor management teams. Determine goals, conduct performance reviews, create career development plans and prepare managers for succession planning opportunities.
Communicate with General Managers on a regular basis to provide feedback and ensure accountability. Identify, communicate, and resolve field operational issues and problems.
Oversee area staffing and retention on a regular basis to ensure future staffing needs are met.
- Responsible to clearly define and communicate expectations through regular meetings/conference calls, P&L reviews, quarterly reviews, team meetings, on the job training and performance development.
- Ensure stores meet or exceed goals in key performance metrics through efficient operations, while constantly emphasizing an extraordinary guest experience.
Metrics include sales, transactions, cleanliness, speed of service, order accuracy, product availability, controllable labor, etc.
- Lead team to maximize sales and profit results, analyze business trends.
- Provide support to General Managers during initiatives, manage execution and measure results.
Experience that would set you up for success includes:
At least 3 years of restaurant or retail multi-unit management experience.
A proven track record of recovering struggling bakeries with long term results
Long term success running a complex, high volume bakery
Performing DM level activities such as district SMG or ops analysis
Additional requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Post High School education or college degree preferred.
Experience analyzing financial reports (Profit and Loss, Income Statement, etc.).
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Basic computer knowledge.
Excellent communications and rapport-building skills.
Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
