So, what’s the job?

Previous automotive experience is required.District Managers oversee 3-5 Jiffy Lube service centers which includes controlling costs, managing profitability, training, and developing the team of employees who work in the service center, maintaining the appearance of the facilities, and ensuring proper operational procedures are followed. This position requires self-motivation and the ability to work with or without supervision. Effective time management techniques are essential for this role. Jiffy Lube is a customer service-based industry and a good fit for this role will have a "positive attitude". Some attributes of a positive attitude that we look for are those individuals that "are: Friendly, Courteous, Enthusiastic, Sincere, Positive, Helpful, Concerned.

The primary function of the District Manager position is to provide an excellent experience for our customers and oversee the operations of their assigned locations. They work hands on in the daily operations of their locations and are responsible for customer interaction, training, directing, and coaching employees in all areas of operations. This position is critical to our overall guest experience and the District Manager is expected to meet company goals by providing clear direction and setting a positive example for attitude, professionalism, and work ethic. Some of the key duties of this position will include but are not limited to:

  • Directing the management team and ensuring that all procedures are completed properly.
  • Assist management team with hiring, training, and coaching employees.
  • Train management team in scheduling, inventory management, opening and closing the store, store cleanliness standards, setting goals, and disciplinary action.
  • Employee development promoting tenure and bench strength as well as using the South Bay Lube, Inc. career path to motivate the team.
  • Train the management team on how to complete employee evaluations and ensure that the career path is followed.
  • Motivating employees to deliver positive customer experiences.
  • Protecting the company’s assets.
  • Interacting with customers and resolving any issues.
  • Completing required documentation as needed.
  • Achieving assigned sales and labor goals.
  • Evaluate situations and make decisions based on circumstances.
  • Accountable for inventory counts, ordering, receiving, and maintaining control of inventory.
  • Enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that your locations are compliant with both State and Federal laws.

What do we require of you?

The must haves:

  • Background screening and motor vehicles records check required.
  • Credit check will be completed and required.
  • Drug screening required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License at all times per company policy.
  • Requires proper auto liability coverages of $100/$300K at all times per company policy.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Age 21 or older
  • Must be able to operate a PC effectively.
  • Must be fully proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Able to compose and send e-mails.
  • Exceptional skills in written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees.
  • Can complete the required computer-based training (CBT) modules.
  • Attendance is an essential function of employment, and you must be timely and ready to work.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to travel to various locations.
  • Able to stand and walk.
  • Use of hands, and fingers to feel, reach with hands and arms.
  • Able to climb stairs.
  • Able to lift objects up to 25 pounds and transfer from one height to another.
  • Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Able to communicate clearly.
