Provides strategic direction and oversees operations of multiple retail stores in a designated region. Leads General Managers in the region with the goal of improving operations, productivity, sales, and financial performance. Oversees talent management and communication, enforces policies and procedures, ensures the highest level of customer service, and maximizes the workforce to achieve optimum results.
- Directs and drives business growth activities through the development and implementation of initiatives.
- Actively recruits, hires, trains, administers discipline, manages and conducts performance evaluations of general managers to meet district’s needs; champions the development of management staff to ensure effective job performance.
- Analyzes financial statements, sales reports and other performance data to measure productivity and identify areas in need of cost reduction or operations improvement.
- Monitors store profitability, maintains costs including payroll budget, evaluate and analyze goals, expenses, employee performance, production, store appearance and sales to achieve maximum revenue.
- In collaboration with Retail Leadership, establishes goals and objectives, administers company policies and procedures and ensures compliance with safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Provides guidance and direction to General Managers including setting performance standards, monitoring performance to ensure that company goals for customer service, sales, expense, payroll, inventory shrinkage and profit are achieved or exceeded.
- Collaborates with Retail Leadership to create the overall vision for each store, establish benchmarks for the management teams, establishes effective merchandise placement and displays, and implements policies and procedures that will help those teams achieve their goals.
- Works with Retail Leadership to plan and coordinate new store openings and store relocations.
- Provides oversight and ensures compliance with the safekeeping of company funds and property, personnel practices, security and recordkeeping procedures.
- Determines the cause of store-specific problems, implements processes to resolve problems that interrupt the store’s service, efficiency or productivity.
- Communicates effectively and in a timely manner with Retail Leadership to facilitate execution of plans and procedures.
- Demonstrates leadership and positive role modeling for staff.
- Encourages an environment of ideation, acts as a catalyst for change and executes change initiatives.
- Fills in for store management as needed and serve as a General Manager during a transition for stores without a GM.
- Champion safety and loss prevention programs and handle loss control concerns.

Education, Experience and Credentials
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires five years of retail experience, with a minimum of two years management position in a multi store environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Requires strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Requires an understanding of profit and loss statement, sales and cost management, ability to control expenses, including payroll, and ability to achieve targeted revenue goals.
- Requires CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification within six months of employment.
- Requires ability to effectively supervise, train, motivate, evaluate, coach and administer discipline.
- Maintains confidentiality of information related to LLGI operations, financial matters and personnel matters. Requires a valid driver’s license, safe driving record and proof of insurance.

Physical Requirements
- Lifts or moves up to thirty (30) pounds of clothing and house wares safely on and off retail shelving fixtures up to ten (10) feet high, clothing racks four (4) feet high, and z-racks six (6) feet high.
- Pushes and pulls z-racks holding up to one-hundred (100) pieces of clothing and weighing a minimum of 150 pounds.
- Bends and reaches into gaylords up to five (5) feet high to remove clothing and house wares.
- Ability to push carts weighing up to 150 pounds.
- Requires manual dexterity to fasten and unfasten buttons; snaps and zippers; operate cash registers and tagging guns.
- Requires ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Requires the ability to perform a combination of tasks for extended periods such as stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, reaching, carrying, pushing or pulling objects in order to sort and hang clothing, and place housewares on shelves and racks.
- Demonstrates visual acuity to evaluate donated items for quality.
- Requires the ability to identify smells to evaluate donations for undesirable odors - mold, must, dust, bodily fluids and/or urine
Environmental Conditions
- Scope of work includes office, retail, light industrial and warehouse settings with exposure to heat, cold, dirt, dust, pet hair, mold and other allergens.
- Fast paced environment and regular instances of critical or unusual situations.
- Requires ability to work in a light industrial/warehouse environment with exposure to heat and cold.
- Subject to exposure to allergens including dirt, dust, mold, metals, rubber, plastics, latex, and pet hair.
- Requires frequent travel to LLGI locations
- Subject to transfer to other districts within the LLGI territory.
