Basic Overview:
The Operations Analyst provides a crucial supporting role to the operations and works full-time in-person at our Ellabell, GA warehouse. This role assists in analyzing, testing, and troubleshooting various software, as well as aiding our teams within the DC by developing reports, analyzing data and providing suggestions for improvement. The Operations Analyst works closely with the management team as well as the IT Help Desk to resolve system issues in a timely manner and ensure a high level of communication between the warehouse and the IT Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Request permissions and user accounts on behalf of hourly staff
Review and assess IT needs for the warehouse and act as a liaison for our IT team to replace and/or purchase equipment
Oversee major system rollouts and provide feedback to appropriate teams as necessary
Serve as point of contact with the IT Help Desk to troubleshoot and identify potential issues that each department faces with systems or devices used
Develop reporting to help with Distribution initiatives
Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and/or coursework in systems management, data analysis, and/or IT services role preferred
Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency with PowerBI, Power Query/SQL preferred
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with the IT Help Desk, including Honeywell devices, WiFi, computers, printers, etc.
Advanced Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
Ability to work off-shift as required to respond to urgent needs
You must be able to meet the following physical demands:
Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 8 hours/day
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
Requires the ability to occasionally lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
