Most businesses offer 3PL fulfillment and warehousing services that cover only parts of the supply chain. In contrast, eShipping Distribution Services offers transportation management solutions that encompass services for all modes that extend beyond warehousing. We offer our customers a complete solution to fully optimize their supply chain: LTL, full truckload, international air and ocean freight, and multi-modal (including rail, domestic air, expedited, and more). eShipping Distribution Services, the warehousing branch of eShipping LLC, was established in 2017. We’ve experienced amazing success in the warehousing industry and have continued to grow and expand. Our headquarters are located in Kansas City and we currently have ten warehouse locations across the U.S., with an eleventh facility opening in Wilmer, TX in spring 2024!

Position Summary

The Distribution Customer Lead will serve as the dedicated point of contact for a key client. This individual serves as the liaison between the client and warehouse operations and must understand client expectations while partnering with operations to ensure outstanding, customized service. The Distribution Customer Lead is responsible for providing operational support at a warehouse location to ensure efficient and timely pick-up and delivery, handling of customer orders, and shipments while ensuring compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies. Daily responsibilities and activities include order and inventory management, customer service, data entry, report generation and analysis, auditing, quality and control, internal and external communications, transportation coordination, and miscellaneous administrative duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Advocate on key client’s behalf by maintaining open lines of communication with client via phone, email, and MS Teams to ensure that expectations are met
  • Research shipment tracking requests and provide feedback, including resolution of misplaced orders
  • Monitor, manage, and modify orders when necessary
  • Utilize a variety of MS Office programs and other warehouse management systems as necessary
  • Handle customer specific requests pertaining to lot specific orders, order cuts, rush orders, and UPC dating
  • Audit receipts and outbound orders as relates to piece count, accuracy, and expiration dates
  • Inventory management, discrepancy resolution, and adjustments
  • Project management
  • Train and provide guidance to warehouse associates as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Experience providing best-in-class customer service
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred

  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing for much of the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, telephone, copy machine, and printer. Some movements of the hands, arms, and wrists may involve repetitive motions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess various activities and surroundings.
  • Cognitive/Mental Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to comprehend and use basic language, either written or spoken, to communicate simple and complex information, ideas, and information. The employee is also required to use logic to define problems, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret information, and deal with abstract variables for unique or unfamiliar situations. The employee must use problem-solving skills to formulate and apply appropriate courses of action for routine or familiar situations. The employee may be required to perform numerical operations including basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing or more complex quantitative calculations.
  • Work Environment: This position is primarily performed in a warehouse and office with varying nose levels and temperatures.
