Responsibilities & Skills

Passionate individual with technical and cross-functional leadership capabilities responsible to identify, plan and drive the vision for Security in Lattice FPGAs and how Lattice FPGAs fit within the system level security requirements. This is a leadership role requiring technical breadth and depth. The role will involve directly working with senior leaders across the organization.

 

Detailed description

 

We are looking to hire an individual who can provide technical leadership, work across various teams and organizations to ensure Lattice Security solutions solve current and upcoming security in various vertical markets. The individual should understand the big picture/system level needs for securing Compute servers, Networking switches, 5G infrastructure, Industrial environments, etc. With this understanding, the individual should architect the security solution to be implemented in Lattice FPGAs for current and future generations. The individual should have the ability to help customers see the fit for Lattice FPGAs within their systems & realize how we secure the systems. Capable of distilling high level marketing requirements into feature level requirements, working across R&D, Applications, Marketing and Operations (Manufacturing) to realize the requirements. The individual should be highly motivated and self-driven. This person should guide and lead the team technically, set up the appropriate vision and align on the vision at a Corporate level.

The position requires a keen attention to detail - and needs to be able to pull together the schedules for various security programs and drive them to closure by working with and driving cross functional teams.

 

Key skills

  • Experience in building cutting edge security systems using FPGAs - dealing with and solving challenges in all aspects of security and solving Security problems at various levels - Software, Firmware and Hardware.
  • Ability to translate the system level security requirement to FPGA solution implementation requirements.
  • Understand system architecture to effectively add security using Lattice FPGAs to the system.
  • Articulate the system and chip level security requirements to various internal and external organizations.
  • Represent Lattice at Industry forums for security. Lead and drive the direction of security forums.
  • Ability to work with customers to explain security requirements and the fit for Lattice FPGAs - become a trusted security advisor for customers in various vertical markets.
  • Lead the Engineering team and educate the team on building Secure solutions for different verticals. Architect security solutions that fit for different verticals seamlessly.
  • Work with other groups such as Applications and Marketing to define and bring Security solutions to market.
  • Publish program schedules and manage the schedules across the organization to successfully deliver solutions.
  • In depth knowledge of development tools, methodologies, etc for FPGA development.
  • Remote work with teams in different geos - experience working remotely.

Experience/education

  • 10+ years of experience working security using FPGAs/ASICs.
  • System level knowledge and implementation of FPGAs within the context of a system is a huge plus.
  • BS EE/MS EE or PhD
