  • Wage starts at $23.22/hour, with additional night shift pay!

  • Jailer is responsible for maintaining security and ensuring the safety of inmates and staff in the jail while observing and monitoring inmate behavior, receiving, searching, processing, disciplining and releasing or securing inmates.

Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit for regular full-time employees accrues at the rate of 18 days per year for the first year; then 21 days per year for the second year of service through the fifth year; and continued increase with years of service.

Health coverage benefit eligible:
  • Non-Regular Part-time does not work a regular schedule, works less than 40 hours per week and can decline a shift
  • Regular Part-time works a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Part-time 30 - 34 hours per week with a 75% county benefit contribution
  • Part-time 35 - 40 hours per week with a 100% county benefit contribution
  • Full-time 40 hours per week with a 100% county benefit contribution

Employees hired to work between 30-34 hours per week would receive a 75% contribution to the county cafeteria benefit package ($635.25 per month for single or $1,131.00 per month for family).
