Job Description
Dispatch - Sales Support Specialist is responsible for managing, scheduling, and coordinating various aspects of plant operations for ready-mix concrete. To work closely with the customer over the phone, to ensure the proper mix, amount and other related information is received for scheduled delivery of concrete by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain customer and employee relations by acting and speaking in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
- Support sales staff by completing and processing orders and keeping staff informed of any issues with delivery.
- Answer customer inquiries, ask pertinent questions regarding product, delivery, and policies, and follow up with customers about their order status.
- Work closely with assigned Sales staff, customer, and Dispatch team.
- Takes orders for Ready Mix Concrete, including mix design, amount, delivery, address, time of delivery. Also, suggests value added products that could be used with the ordered product.
- Enter information into the dispatch system. Assures accuracy of data input into the system.
- Work with management team members and external customers to resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Develop a positive rapport with Ready Mix Drivers, Team members, and the Customer.
- Must be able to navigate various GPS and Dispatching Systems. Needs to be familiar with our local delivery areas and must be able to assist drivers in finding jobsites.
- Must be able to determine travel time to jobs and best plant locations to service the job.
- Able and willing if needed to work overtime and varying shifts including early mornings, late afternoons, and Saturdays.
- Record accurate delivery and product information on orders, negotiates delivery times with Customers.
- Attention to Detail is imperative to accurately record delivery & product information into Dispatch Systems with ability to negotiate delivery times with customers.
- Must be able to perform in high call volume situations while multitasking with plants, team members in the office while sitting for long periods of time.

- Must be flexible regarding work schedule.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
