Dishwasher/Prep Cook

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Dishwasher and Food Prep Worker at our bustling breakfast and lunch cafe. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as assisting with food preparation as needed. Dishwashers take part in a tip pool.

**Responsibilities:**

- Hand wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using designated washing equipment
- Ensure that all washed items are properly sanitized and stored
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and assembling menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing and food prep areas
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards
- Sweep and mop floors
-Carry garbage to dumpster at the top of hill

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
-Ability to read and interpret recipes
- Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
-Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks
- Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends as needed

**Requirements:**

- Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid food handlers card
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness and organization
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
-Ability to repetitively bend, reach, lift and carry(up to 50 lbs) and stand on your feet for long periods of time.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.30 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 17 per week
