We're currently looking for a Dishwasher and Kitchen Helper to join our team, someone who is passionate about maintaining a clean and safe environment and contributing to the overall success of our bakery.
Your Role:
As a Dishwasher and Kitchen Helper at Chocolate Chip Bakery, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen's operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning Duties: Ensuring baking trays, bowls, whisks, and all kitchen equipment are washed thoroughly, either by hand or using an automatic dishwasher. You will also be responsible for cleaning floors and restrooms, maintaining overall cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery.
- Waste Management: Sorting and disposing of trash responsibly, ensuring it's placed in designated pick-up areas.
- Supply Management: Stocking cleaning supplies and ensuring dishes and kitchen tools are organized and readily available in their respective areas.
- Supporting the Team: Assisting with various daily cleaning tasks and supporting team members and managers to ensure smooth operation. This may include gaining exposure to and assisting with different stations within the bakery, such as baking and preparation areas.
- Peak Service Support: Demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to pitch in wherever necessary during both peak and off-peak service times.
- Health & Safety: Helping maintain our bakery's high standards, including our "A" letter grade by following Department of Health and food safety standards. You will also uphold our anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies, demonstrating professional maturity.
You Are:
- Passionate about maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
- Eager to learn and grow within the culinary field, with a particular interest in baking.
- Capable of performing the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds and moving for extended periods. Accommodations can be made for candidates who require them.
