Dishwasher

Full time Dishwasher needed immediately at Mary's Kitchen. We are a busy restaurant near the oceanfront in Virginia Beach . Mary's is open for business 7 days a week from 7am to 2pm. Your shift would be from 8 am to 4pm and we need someone who can work weekends. Free meal with each shift.

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
• Set up workstations before meal prep begins
• Assist with putting away food delivery
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
• Remove garbage regularly
• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
• Clean and sanitize guest and employee bathrooms
• Sweep, mop and deck scrub kitchen and dining room floors

Skills

• Work experience as a Dishwasher
• Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
• Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
• Time management skills
• Attention to detail and sanitation rules
• Availability to work weekends
• High school diploma is a plus
