JOB SUMMARY:
The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) Services Program provides career assessment and counseling services to the community. The Employment Specialist works with individuals with disabilities to conduct assessments and coaching for employment readiness through job shadows, internship placements, soft skills training, task analysis and systematic instruction, job preparation, job development and job retention services.
This position will start part-time and will grow to full-time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST:
- Assess employment readiness of individuals, determine barriers and needs for accommodations.
- Meet with consumers in PSG offices, libraries, job centers, community buildings, or via internet or telephone.
- Reach out to employers to present the DVR Programs and consumers available for employment.
- Complete billing and reports as required.
LOCATION: Office is located in Kenosha, WI with local travel required. Client meetings may be scheduled at our office, at community centers, or within client homes. Must be able to meet in-person with clients in Kenosha County, WI.
SCHEDULE: Hours are varied Monday-Friday with a flexible schedule. Position will start part-time with opportunity to grow to full-time.

SALARY: $19.00 per hour
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Driver's License, personal automobile insurance, and reliable transportation on a daily basis.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or related is preferred.
- Work experience in job development or job center services is preferred.
- Experience working and communicating with diverse populations and people with disabilities is preferred.
