We are seeking Director Warehouse Management who will plan, direct, and manage all operations at our facility in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago. This is a high-profile role with P&L, staff management, process improvement, customer interaction and process improvement responsibilities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing a safe and secure work environment where the safety of the warehouse staff is the primary focus.
· Provides leadership to achieve the value, mission, and vision statement of the company.

· Identifies opportunities for business improvement and develops / implements plans to ensure continuous improvement.
· Responsible for managing the process of tracking and publishing all Key Performance Measures both internally and externally.
· Ensure that employee individual performance metrics are tracked and utilized to manage labor spend as well as evaluate employee performance.
· Manage Quarterly Business Review process with customers including the preparation and presentation of necessary information.
· Facility maintenance.
· Strong relationship development with customers. Ensure organization is focused on impeccable customer service development (Values/Mission/Vision).
· Participates in all budgeting activities. Monitors budget performance monthly. Takes proactive steps to ensure budget compliance.

· Supports proactive maintenance of all equipment – ensuring efficient maintenance
spending.
· Recommends capital expenditures to ensure efficient ongoing operations.
· Responsible for implementing a safety culture. Develops / implements safe work
policies and procedures.
· Suggests improved efficiency through the understanding and use of advanced systems /
automation.
· Plans, budgets, and schedules facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid
sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
· Actively participates in and leads the implementation of new customers to include but
not limited to; determining rate schedule, negotiating Level of Service agreement,
identifying Standard Operating Procedures, etc.
· Establishes operational procedures for timely and accurate activities such as
verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of
materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
· Establishes and frequently reviews developmental action plans that promote positive
growth for the individual and strengthens succession planning initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; with 5 years’ leadership
experience in serialized, high value distribution
· OR 15 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
· An operational background with a continuous improvement track record is required.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory
agencies, or members of the business community.
· Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or
boards of directors.
