Zayo is seeking a Director of Transformation - Program Managementwho will be responsible for leading and driving major transformative initiatives, including M&A, enterprise-wide for Zayo. Our Director of Transformation - Program Management role offers 'Transformation as a Service' and the strategies that reshape the organization, improve operational efficiency and enable long-term growth. This role will lead a team of Senior Program Managers that manage all of the company's integrations of current and new acquisitions. Our Director of Transformation - Program Management reports directly to Zayo's Chief Transformation Officer.
*We're open to this role working in a remote capacity within the U.S.; however, our ideal candidate will be local to the Denver, CO or Boulder, CO areas with the opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity for the needed face-to-face relationship building that is ideal for this type of position.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in the transformation strategy aligned with the organization's vision, goals, and market dynamics. In partnership with the Chief Transformation Officer, identify areas for transformation and prioritize initiatives that will deliver the most significant impact on the organization's performance and future success.
  • Launch the concept of 'Transformation as a Service' at Zayo, imbedding in business units across Zayo to assess the organization's structure, processes, and capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement and alignment with the transformation objectives. Lead efforts to redesign the organization, streamline processes, and optimize resource allocation to support the desired future state.
  • Provide strong leadership and vision to executive teams, managers, and employees throughout the transformation process. Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement. Act as a role model for embracing change and driving a positive transformational mindset.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and external partners, to gain support and alignment for the transformation initiatives. Develop robust communication plans to ensure effective and transparent communication with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Develop strategies and initiatives to embed the transformational changes into the organization's culture, practices, and processes. Ensure that the transformation efforts lead to lasting improvements and sustained organizational performance.
  • Report on program and portfolio progress to executives and key stakeholders, working alongside functional integration leaders to drives results-delivery

Qualifications
  • Proven track record of leading transformational change, either as a business leader or program manager.
  • Proven track record of leading successful M&A integrations.
  • Ability to drive change in an environment that can at some times be similar to a start up, entrepreneurial and evolving.
  • An open, direct, and respectful communication style with excellent, executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present to the C-suite, and present complex problems and solutions with clarity and simplicity.
  • Solid, working knowledge of key business processes (go to market, quote to cash, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of business financial concepts (EBITDA, Capital payback, IRR, etc.), three-statement Accounting structure, and forecasting. Validating, tracking, and reporting cost synergies, as well as generating variance commentary vs. plan will be a core responsibility.
  • Ability to translate acquired company financial, customer, and operational reporting data into the Zayo standard.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google docs and Salesforce, required. Experience with OneStream and Oracle Financials, a plus.
  • Experience in Strategy or Corporate Development, a plus.
  • Strong project management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering measurable results.
  • Telco industry experience with experience working in a Telco network.
  • Bachelor's degree, required. Advanced Degree (e.g. MBA), a plus.
  • 12+ years of business experience, with significant portion of that leading large, cross-functional Program Management Offices (PMO) and/or Integration Management Offices (IMO). Operational leadership experience, a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience of successful deal origination and execution.
  • Experience leading successful large-scale projects and programs across an enterprise utilizing external providers and internal staff.

Base pay range: $118,000 - $190,000, commensurate with experience
