The Director, Transformation and Optimization is responsible for ensuring successful new market launches, turnarounds, and Optimization. The incumbent in this role assists in selection, onboarding, and leadership in markets; strategy and tactical execution for their assignments and develops and implements operational strategies in new markets, turnarounds or optimization. They guide new and expanding markets in executing all support activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drives new market launch, turnaround and Optimization activities across the organization by integrating Lean Six Sigma principles, process re-engineering tools, and human factors concepts into the organization.
  • Assures Transformation COE is a trusted resource for divisional, regional, or center support to achieve the company's vision and mission.
  • Hires, coaches, develops, and leads new market / turnaround / optimization teams in the assigned market(s). Grows the team to match the needs of the business.
  • Oversees assigned new market /turnaround / optimization onboarding including recruitment, disciplinary and termination processes.
  • Manages the Operation's functions for designated expanding market launches.
  • Leads and implements all company protocols regarding overall patient experience and takes immediate action to implement change, as necessary.
  • Builds, implements, and oversees new market development operational strategy.
  • Participates in building strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders, leadership teams and internal departments to carry out key projects. Works collaboratively to drive successful completion of tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Executes key new market initiatives to ensure customer, provider and regulatory expectations are exceeded.
  • Develops, implements, and manages the adoption of controls that allow the organization to quickly identify trends and potential issues and address in a timely manner.
  • Performs analysis of new market growth opportunities and makes recommendations to Operations leadership on key strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Evaluates and interprets market utilization data ensuring sales priorities are identified for physician and patient populations.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with external affiliates and business partners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.

  • Superior knowledge and understanding of ChenMed's strategic business model and ability to coach and mentor on that model

  • Demonstrated strategy, planning and execution skills with proven ability to drive results in a matrixed management operating environment
  • Media and advertising experience including understanding of and experience in executing monetization models Ability to translate business objectives into actionable projects for self or direct reports
  • Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to influence leadership, including fellow directors, to help drive process, strategy and adhere to proper business protocols
  • Ability to effectively leverage business and organizational knowledge within and across functions
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator with a demonstrated ability to present to audiences at all levels with a straight-forward style of communication
  • Superb problem solving skills with the ability to understand, analyze and assimilate complex issues, draw correct conclusions, and formulate clear strategy and policy
  • Strong project management skills and understanding of the big picture while being attentive to the details required to successfully launch new market
  • Efficient and effective and organizational skills, including exceptional attention to detail.
  • Results oriented individual with high personal accountability and strong drive for self-development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and presentation software
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 100% of the time in San Antonio, Houston and Dallas markets
  • Spoken and written fluency in English
  • This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications or a similar discipline OR additional experience above the minimum will be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis required
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Human Resources Management (MHRM), or a related field preferred
  • Demonstrated experience running a value based care clinic and/or P&L enterprise
  • Demonstrated ability to operationalize programs that lead to better patient outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead transformation programs that impact healthcare settings
  • Demonstrated ability to lead performance improvement programs that lead to positive outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to set up new centers and/or healthcare delivery mechanisms
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a Healthcare or Hospitality Executive Leadership position required
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in direct management within a customer/client service environment with strong performance and quality metrics required
  • Progressive career growth and experience in business and/or strategy development leadership roles required
  • Experience managing a diverse group of functional areas with strong performance and quality metrics required
