Responsibilities:
Guide the delivery of the Corporate Strategy team's growth priorities across the enterprise and in Ministry Markets. This role is focused on strategic growth of the organization. The Strategic Growth Director will act as a strategic thought partner with market and system leaders in areas such as growth, acute network development, ambulatory strategies, and enterprise business planning.
- Actively manage the National System Strategy Growth Team’s goals to deliver on Ascension’s volume and growth imperatives
- Manage progress-to-plan of monthly Ministry Market business performance
- Support National and Ministry Market leaders in strategic growth opportunity evaluation, including but not limited to: hypothesis testing, opportunity assessments, and growth strategy development
- Be a thought partner for Ministry Market Strategy Teams in the development of annual strategic growth goals, annual volume & Growth forecasting
- Oversee execution and performance management of strategic growth initiatives
- Continually review, understand, and incorporate industry and competitive environment dynamics into growth strategy development
Requirements:
- Exceptionally detail-oriented and highly-organized structured thinker who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate recommendations effectively (written & verbal) to executive and senior leadership in an concise, compelling manner
- Experience developing and executing enterprise and market based strategy in a large complex healthcare organization
- Experience working with operations to implement strategic initiatives
- Ability to create structure from ambiguous information and set forth an efficient approach to solve problems or answer questions
- Ability to multiple tasks at once, prioritize work, and deliver exceptional work product
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and influence those who do not directly report to you
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter (‘get it done’ attitude)
- Desire to be in a fast-paced role with a mindset of continuous improvement
- Healthcare consulting and health system corporate strategy experience preferred
Work Experience:
- 7 years of experience required.
- 10 years of experience preferred.
- 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
- High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's
degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years
being in leadership/management.
