Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Residential Marketing & Designto join the Electrical Wiring Systems Pass and Seymour Team. This is a remote position reporting to Syracuse, NY. Remote position preferably EST or CST with business travel required. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and creative thinker with a proven track record in leading successful marketing programs. As the Residential Marketing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of graphic designers, social media and content specialists, retail marketing, and external vendors to drive brand awareness and increase demand for our residential products. This role will take a leadership role in deploying the go-to-market strategy for a full line of products and sales enablement programs, while collaborating within the product, marketing and sales teams to support promotional and merchandising efforts.
What Will You Do?
- Develop strong business relationships across the organization and within Pass and Seymour to develop and ensure execution of high-level and detailed marketing strategies, budgets, and tactics that accomplish and align with business objectives to strengthen the brand and drive demand.
- Direct the strategy and execution of full-funnel marketing campaigns and products for the residential market and designer switches and outlets category, targeting homeowners, designers, contractors, and builders.
- Partner with retail, lighting showroom, e-commerce, electrical distribution, and sales teams to support merchandising, events, sales enablement, and promotional programs.
- Effectively monitor spend against budget across marketing channels (paid search, media, email, advertising, influencer/advocacy, merchandising, content, etc.) and provide recommendations to management for improved allocation of spend to maximize ROI.
- Define the brand positioning and messaging strategy for residential products and initiatives, ensuring consistency with overall brand identity, positioning, and messaging architecture. Conduct market research programs as needed.
- From a Marketing Communications standpoint, lead New Product Introduction (NPI) process to launch and bring new products to market. Manage project plans and associated budgets, focusing on maximizing in-house capabilities and management of outside resources to accomplish business objectives.
- Oversee implementation of brand standards and integrity by driving the ideation and conceptualization for campaigns and providing clear and constructive feedback for creative team members.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the success of marketing initiatives and identify data-driven optimizations for campaign effectiveness.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and development to staff to achieve superior results. Establish and maintain employee performance standards. Work with employees to set goals and define development needs. Provide ongoing feedback and periodic formal performance evaluations.
- Manage the approval process for all marcomm elements with internal stakeholders.
- Perform other similar and related duties as required.
- Up to 20% travel required.
Required Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- 12+ years of marketing communications experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Combination of channel marketing, and B2B/B2C experience preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Sales, Product Management, and Engineering.
- Deep understanding of Google Analytics, Salesforce, Pardot, SEO Tools, Social Media Platforms, and other marketing tools.
- Excellent skills in project management, demonstrated ability to make timely and effective decision, handle multiple priorities and effectively delegate responsibilities to ensure high quality service is delivered on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Must have excellent verbal/written communications and proofreading skills, ability to evaluate/edit written marketing communications copy and messaging. Must have strong storytelling and presentation skills.
- Must have strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
- Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
