ResponsibilitiesROLE OVERVIEW
The Program Management Lead for the Global Pkg category leads a team responsible for global and regional Program Management. This role provides strategic leadership to initiatives that support the customer's/business's strategies, both for current and new opportunities. Leadership skills, a demonstrated ability to influence across business units and effectively coordinate internal cross-functional team members, particularly through roadblocks and issues that would impede progress, are required. In addition, this role will help identify, develop, and implement process improvement opportunities that further enable efficiencies and speed to market for Core Products is responsible for establishing the strategy for the Core packaging category items, and for defining service scope and levels with the customer
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the development and activities of 6 team members supporting global and regional category initiatives
- Lead and ensure delivery of large, complex programs from initiation through completion
- Run performance metrics and measurements on Global Program Management effectiveness
- Responsible for Global and Regional stakeholder management. Ensure proper program status is communicated timely and effectively with all key customer contacts.
- Ensures global team assumes project management responsibility for strategic multi-regional projects and enables global team to lead and deliver innovative, complex projects from preliminary concept through lead market test completion
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvement opportunities that further enable efficiencies and speed to market
- Balance global, regional, and local needs and ensures cross-communication and strategic awareness/alignment
- Balance customer cross-functional department needs when leading strategic programs for the packaging category
- Collaborate and partner with Category Lead - Core Packaging and Category Lead - Innovation & Growth to be a strategic Category leader that offers critical input to enable optimal category service delivery
- Ensure customer communication is clearly supported with analysis and data that can drive effective decision making at a rapid pace
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, technical or packaging related discipline or minimum of 15 years in project management within Consumer-Packaged Goods, Food Service, Quick Serve Restaurants or other related industries
- Demonstrated success in packaging commercialization, minimum 5 years of Project Management experience delivering moderate to large, complex technical packaging projects on-time and within budget, and minimum of 5 years Program Management experience leading cross-regional programs that drive strategic benefits and organizational growth.
- Experience in CPG, Food Service, Quick Serve Restaurants, or other related industries.
- Experience in leading a multi-disciplined team with the ability to lead, thrive, provide guidance, and navigate through ambiguity.
- Experience and familiarity with formal, financially driven business case methodology and development.
- Experience in the food/consumer goods area and/or consumer package technology a plus.
- Strategic and innovative mentality - ability to track, understand and strategize against marketplace, customer, competitor, and category trends
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively lead and simplify complex client facing conversations
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead in a matrix organization - ability to segment a product or initiative and develop and execute in collaboration with other business groups
- Relationship Management approach - can handle multiple relationships while ensuring key performance metrics are met
- Leadership acuity to effectively develop a team
