As a Print Director of Home, you will lead a team of highly skilled textile designers servicing our Home own brands, Threshold, Room Essentials, Studio McGee, Hearth & Hand, Pillowfort and Cloud Island. The role will be responsible for creating a strategic vision in partnership with design and merchandising to lead the industry in trend forward, inclusive and approachable designs.

This role will require technical expertise to ensure execution of ideas while providing creative solutions to costing challenges. Inspirational leadership, vision, and industry knowledge of women’s print is critical.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the Textile development process, in developing original prints for the brand portfolio while ensuring teams create files that meet technical and costing requirements

  • Partner with the home design teams to ensure cohesion within the brands, and across

  • Lead and manage the interpretation of the seasonal textile direction and assortment opportunities into each brands DNA

  • Lead the project management of the team, allocating resources and delivering timely execution

  • Inspire new research and development of seasonal trends and new print techniques

  • Produce and maintain cohesive textile presentations, including virtual or physical artwork boards

  • Travel to Europe and aspirational cities to identify emerging themes and new inspirations

  • Adhere to the seasonal time and action calendar for area of responsibility

  • Collaborate with the cross functional team inclusive of color, technical, design and merchandising to ensure alignment

  • Manage new and continued relations with Print Studios

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Fine arts, textiles or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in textile design and development in a retail or wholesale environment

  • Strong sense of print trends, across the home and fashion industry

  • In-Depth knowledge of textile design and development process for home decor

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence, and deliver impactful presentations.

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.Team Members in the Target General Merch Inc (TGMI) operating company are strictly prohibited from working more than 30 days per year in the following 16 states: AL, AR, DE, FL, IN , IA, LA, MD, MS, MO, NC, OK, PA, SC, TN and VA.
