As a Starbucks the director, Packaging Solutions R&D you will be responsible for leading a team of highly engaged engineers and scientists in Packaging R&D/Engineering. You will be responsible for leading the holistic strategy and execution of Sustainability, Innovation, and Productivity initiatives that directly ladder up to our enterprise Mission and Strategies. You will be placed into an amazing mix of programs across equipment, core beverage, core food, channel development, smallwares, and being a center of excellence to serve the International and Global Licensed Frameworks.
As a director, Packaging Solutions R&D you will...
- Have broad scope of responsibility with a range of deliverables in each product category. You will lead the creation of technical strategies and approaches in the quest of solving complex problems and finding opportunities to instill innovation.
- Create plans and manage multiple projects to deliver on process and program objectives.
- Lead a team of 9-10 passionate and dedicated engineers and scientists through a servant mindset. You will serve as a conduit to the broader enterprise and facilitate co-creation and collaboration with our internal and external partners or suppliers. Responsible for prioritization and support for initiatives and ensuring our partners growth is top of mind through personal and professional development.
We'd love to hear from people with:
- Global experience in people and strategic leadership in a technical field.
- 10-15+ years of experience in CPG and Retail packaging experience (Broad knowledge of technologies, tools, sustainability, org design).
- Demonstrates a strong growth mindset and couples that with immense technical curiosity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that can emotionally and rationally engage a diverse set of internal and external partners.
- Highly motivated by ambiguity, self-starting, and operates well in a fast-paced environment.
