Position:Director of the Bright Futures Fund
Status: Part time
Reports To: Executive Director of Stewardship and Development
Position Objective
The Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, Missouri is seeking a Director of the Bright Futures Fund (BFF) who is responsible for fundraising and collaboration with the staff and board of directors, while serving as a liaison to school communities, outside foundations, state and local staffs and consultants when appropriate. This position is part time and will average 20-25 hours per week.
Essential Duties
• Solicit funding from foundation sources in coordination and compliance with Diocesan school office and Diocesan curriculum standards.
• Solicit funding from donors through well-planned events for the support of the schools and implementation/growth of programs.
• Plan, coordinate and support the MO Scholars Tax Credit program.
• Collaborate on the coordination and implementation of a master plan schedule and construction management plan for new school building as well as existing building improvements.
• Collaborate with the Diocesan Schools Office regarding a new technology plan for BFF schools.
• Collaborate with the Diocesan Schools Office for the implementation of a new curriculum program for science, social studies, and potential STEM programs.
• Coordinate with Diocesan Early Childhood Center (ECC) advisors to ensure compliance with ECC standards in conjunction with new building construction and program expansion.
• Collaborate with schools to better showcase measurable performance data of BFF students.
• Assist in writing grant proposals with performance data.
• Assist with inclusion of campaign measurables in special events and BFF marketing materials.
• Work closely with the Finance team to make sure appropriate internal controls are followed and audits are completed in a timely manner.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a closely related field or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Three (3) years or more experience in fundraising and major gift solicitation preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in project management.
• Advanced skills in navigating the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
• Practicing Catholic with ethical standards, personal integrity, and conduct consistent with the morals and teachings of the Catholic Church; includes faithful obedience to the Magisterium.
