Robert Half is seeking a skilled & experienced marketing agency professional to join one of our fastest growing agency clients in Cleveland. The Director of Strategy and Operations will contribute to both the strategic development of the business and the seamless and profitable execution of client projects.
Primary Responsibility: Provide strategic leadership for the marketing firm, overseeing both internal operations of the agency and the development of client marketing strategies.
What you’ll do:
• Strategic Leadership: In collaboration with agency leadership and the account team, contribute to developing and refining marketing plans that achieve agency and client business goals.
• Process & Systems Refinement: Lead the development and implementation of scalable processes and systems to support agency expansion. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflow and enhance productivity.
• Project Management Oversight: Manage PM role to ensure accuracy in timeline and tasks for each project lifecycle. Evaluate and refine systems for key functions of capacity planning and estimate/actual reporting. Define and manage profitability of projects.
• Client Consulting: Provide strategic guidance to clients related to brand evolution and marketing tactics, drawing from established strategies and metrics frameworks to inform recommendations.
• Business Development Support: Support the Principal in solution-based selling techniques, contributing ideas and tactics to new business proposals and pitches. Facilitate strategic sessions with current clients to determine plan/program optimizations.
• EOS Seat (Traction): Own the “Operations” seat, which is accountable for balancing operational efficiency and team satisfaction. This will require participation in Level 10 meetings and annual management retreats.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a marketing agency, with consideration given to client-side experience managing multiple brands
• Proven experience in account planning and/or solution-based selling
• Strong connection to metrics, utilizing data to inform recommendations to drive results
• Experience working in agency project management systems with a fluency in brand/creative/content project lifecycles
• Demonstrated growth mindset, eager to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of the organization
