What We Need
The Business Strategy & Operations team at 2K is looking for a driven and intellectually curious person to help manage high visibility initiatives across the business. We drive alignment and build partnerships with key stakeholders along the way. We address business problems through a long-term lens with consideration of the immediate operational needs. We partner with a variety of teams to orchestrate, unify, and scale the organization. At any given moment we are the supporter, leader, approver, and/or responsible party with other internal and external teams. We are a high-impact team at 2K and this role requires a "roll-up-your-sleeves" approach and the ability to have grit "get things done"!
In this role, you must be comfortable pivoting, flexing and are able to thrive in an ambiguous environment. You excel in navigating a complex, interdependent, relationship-focused environment. This person will lead planning initiatives for projects and drive the execution of work efforts to develop efficiencies across the business. Be responsible for the project timeline and budget and collaborate closely with key stakeholders to manage project scope and ensure quality. Making sure members of the project are providing actions on the delivery dates and are being accountable for the relevancy and accuracy of project information. You will drive the planning for the Publishing Operations organization's Town Hall. You will partner with our leaders to help drive engagement across the Operations org.
What You Will Do
  • Be responsible for overseeing operations projects for multiple active and planned projects, guiding cross functional teams to navigate barriers to execution and communicating progress and solutions to leadership teams.
  • Own the operating rhythm by partnering closely with VP+ stakeholders across BUs and Operations Shared Services to align on priorities, influence roadmaps and deliver against key corporate initiatives and goals, including, but not limited to:
    • Ensuring representation and accuracy of cross-functional initiatives in Operating Plans and Quarterly Business reviews.
    • Escalating, problem solving and communicating to leadership when there are prioritization misalignments that could delay committed work.
    • Tracking and ensuring on-time delivery of all action items from QBR, OP and related processes.
  • Craft and refine strategic presentations and communications for Quarterly Town Halls and executive meetings ensuring connectivity across the Operating Plans and QBRs that can be understood by senior management, employees, hybrid team members, and other stakeholders - ensuring that all levels of the organization are aligned with and working towards the same goals.
  • Prepare regular updates for the executive leadership team and board of directors on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Partner with the Operations executive team to drive employee engagement within the Operations organization with a continuous focus on workplace morale and identify areas for improvement
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Plan and lead status review meetings, which may include internal team members, vendors, and internal customers.
  • Knowledge and experience with a variety of different project management frameworks, including waterfall and agile.
  • Employs strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment.

What Will Make You a Great Fit
  • 10+ years of experience in a Business Operations, Project Management or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, business planning, timelines, and effective delivery of projects.
  • Collaborative verbal and written, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Ability to build content and communicate at an executive level with a coherent narrative tailored to different audiences.
  • Master at creating Powerpoint and presentations for and on behalf of senior executives
  • Customer-service and collaborative mindset
  • Proficient with Project Management software tools (i.e. Jira/Monday/Asana/Microsoft Project) for project management.
  • Experience creating RACI charts, Work Breakdown Structures, and other project management tools
  • Experience with the Google Suite (Docs/Sheets/Slides) for project documentation.
  • Experience and high level of comfort with leading daily team stand ups and providing frequent status reports to all audience types, especially executives.
  • Experience developing concepts to improve the organization

Bonus Points
  • Experience at a management consulting firm or corporate strategy, business operations, or business planning function at a large enterprise company
  • Experience in strategy and operations role in Customer Experience function
  • Strong relationship management and organizational change skills, including experience working with multiple partners and across all levels of leadership.
  • Inquisitive, driven, self-motivated and entrepreneurial-minded!
  • Ability to switch priorities and pivot in a fast-paced environment

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $165,000 and $230,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
