Responsibilities:

• Hire and lead a team of engineers, QA/QE, NetOps, DevOps, and other necessary staff
• Work with and influence a large number of cross functional teams across the business to prioritize, plan, scope, and execute both large and small web/mobile solutions
• Demonstrate strong business focus, with an ability to lead, understand, and plan for changing business requirements
• Ability to organize and motivate large cross-functional teams
• Create and maintain a robust demand management process such that the business understands how to interface with IT
• Drive new tools and processes to agile development teams.
• Lead team to follow standard ITIL processes, including Change, Incident, and Release management.
• Lead product strategy and user experience efforts required to define and deliver a winning product vision.
• Help the team achieve exceptional JavaScript programming ability (and associated frameworks/ libraries).
• Leadership perspective to cloud infrastructures such as AWS.

Skills:

• Bachelors in Information Technology or Computer Science required, Master's degree in similar discipline preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with customer or employee facing mobile applications.
• 3+ years of experience designing, externalizing, and scaling APIs.
• 3+ years of experience managing medium to large size agile teams.
• 3+ years of experience with the AWS eco-system, toolsets and deployment architecture.
• 3+ years of leading modern development approaches (containerization, cloud, continuous delivery, micro-services, modular reactive web applications).
• 3+ years of experience with architecture design.
• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, platform engineering, middleware or database technology (ideally some at startups with technology-based product).
• Deep experience across several technology domains specifically java/javascript based applications such as Node.js, Angular.js, React.js, Cordova.
• Proficiency in standard office equipment and computer software including Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word.
• Retail experience a plus.
