The Director will provide overall leadership for EPL's School Leadership preparation program, particularly curriculum development and student recruitment, and serve as a liaison with school systems to enhance vital professional and research relationships.
The Director's responsibilities include:
- Program administration (recruitment, admissions, & course scheduling);
- Teaching and advising (mentoring emerging school leaders, supervising a year-long 600-hour internship, & teaching a course in the School Leadership program);
- Program review, development, and accreditation (monitoring of student outcomes, assessing curriculum alignment with state standards, & compiling annual and program review reports);
- Community engagement and University-practitioner partnership building.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Education or a related field from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization by 5/1/2024. Candidates who will not hold the degree by this date will not be considered.
- NYS Certification or eligibility to be NYS certified as a school or district leader
- Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community
- Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching graduate courses related to School Leadership.
- Active involvement in School Leadership development and/or mentoring and/or demonstrated success in leading school improvement efforts.

Professional Rank and Salary Range: Lecturer, 50% FTE
