High Point Lodging is hiring for our the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Anderson, IN. We are looking for a strong experienced sales person to be a part of our awesome team!
Job Summary
The ideal candidate is likely to have minimum of 2-3 years hotel sales experience or equivalent education, be able to demonstrate strong leadership and professional image, be someone who has a reputation for delivering great hospitality, and be able to step in to help with operations when needed.
The Director of Sales is responsible for managing the day-to-day sales operations, which includes coordinating with the General Manager and front office. They will also ensure expenses are controlled and sales and revenue generation are maximized. Plan and manage the operations of the sales department to achieve customer satisfaction (guests, employees, corporate and owners) and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals. There will be periodic times that they will need to step in and assist operations.
You would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Be in proper business attire including name tag
- Always readily available/approachable for all guests
- Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns
- Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times
- Respond to sales inquiries from potential and current clients in a timely manner
- Initiate new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clients
- Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts.
- Conduct property site visits and answer questions.
- Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel.
- Become involved and active in our community and going to local events
- Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, social media, and direct mail
- Partner with local businesses for marketing purposes
- Continually solicit new business for the hotel
- Negotiate and load group block and local negotiated rates contracts
- Visit each local account quarterly
- Monitor and release group blocks in a timely manner
- Ensure that all associates understand hotel selling strategies
- Stay current on local market conditions
- Maintain rapport with competitor hotels, lead sources, clients, and the local community.
- Submit weekly sales reports on progress to General Manager
- Have a good understanding of Opera PMS]

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
