JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum two years’ hotel Director of Sales experience with any hotel franchise company.
Marriott hotel sales experience preferred.
Proficient at inside and outside sales solicitation.
Reside within 45 minute drive of the subject hotel
Flexible schedule to include occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.
Hotel revenue management experience preferred (but not required)
Valid Texas Driver’s License and minimum state-required vehicle insurance.
JOB DESCRIPTION-Responsibilities and duties
Direct responsibility for optimizing hotel revenues including suites, conference center rentals, bar and
ancillary rental fees.
Supervises Events Coordinator.
Timely respond to all Marriott brand leads and RFP’s.
Exceptional client and guest service.
Overall account management and new business generation.
Meet the hotel’s approved rooms and conference center revenue budget.
Negotiating and communicating skill is essential.
Cognitive skill is proficient in all job-related areas, including a fast-paced environment.
Oversight, administration and continued organization of the sales department.
Attention to detail and timely management of groups and events.
Participates in and contributes to revenue management pricing and inventory strategy during weekly
brand calls.
Prepares and submits weekly sales reports.
Prepares and submits results of weekly sales call activity.
Responsible for implementing all brand e-commerce initiatives
Scheduled hotel and conference center site tours.
Manages hotel’s reputation by monitoring hotel social sites and utilizing positive results as a selling tool.
Assists in strategic budget planning.
Works in concert with the event coordinator to ensure dynamic execution of client needs.
Ensures management is available to welcome and oversee all events. (Shared responsibility).
Ability to navigate sales and brand software systems including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams,
SharePoint, Power Point, Excel, and Word.
Strong verbal and written communication skill for correspondence, proposals, reports and
communicating with third-party catering companies.
Any other assistance requested or directed by the general manager or management company supervisors.
