Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient. The Director ensures cost effective systems are in place to support the business of the department while taking into account business trends, resources and changes in customers’ needs. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Director works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals. Coordinates the integration and coordination of all activities related to care of pulmonary patients. This role is a resource person provides guidance to another licensed a well non-licensed personnel in delivering care and other services to the pulmonary or RT therapy patient.

  • Guides the interdisciplinary team in the development, implementation and interpretation of the program’s purpose, philosophy and objective in conjunction with those of the facility and in recognition of input from persons served.
  • Assures an on-going continuous quality improvement process in which the interdisciplinary team analyzes data and formulates processes/methods in response to identified needs/problems/challenges.
  • Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, orientation, development and on-going evaluation/retention of program staff.
  • Assures program compliance with hospital and regulatory/accrediting agencies.
  • Plan and guides service specific program development.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Neonate Resuscitate
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • NBRC
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP)
  • Bachelors Degree
