Job Summary and Qualifications

Supervises the completion of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports to obtain appropriate reimbursement from these programs and monitor hospitals' compliance with the company's reimbursement policies.
Responsibilities
Supervises up to 3 Reimbursement Managers and completion and audit of Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare cost reports to obtain all amounts due from these programs and to ensure that all report filings are completed and filed in adherence with federal and state regulatory guidelines. 
Assist staff with the preparation and review of accounting entries to record said cost reports. Revise data elements used to compute contractual adjustments based on the latest annual cost report and periodic interim cost reports. Compose and review Concuity rate input for logging models. Assist in the review of hospital's monthly contractual adjustment computations for accuracy and compliance with policies.
Assure that the hospital is complying with requirements for data collection for cost reporting and to keep updated on operational changes as well as answer questions as needed.
Supply external and internal auditors with data and support used to prepare cost reports and answer any questions regarding the cost report filings. Critically review external auditor proposed adjustments to cost reports and decide, along with the Managing Director and corporate appeals team which adjustments should be appealed. 
Communicate compliance and risk issues to both the Managing Director and Division Directors. Serve as a resource and liaison on reimbursement matters to hospital personnel and other relevant stakeholders. Assist in preparation of feasibility studies for new services. May assist in the completion of and review of Medicare and Medicaid DSH work.
Assist with identifying potential departmental education topics.
 
Education & Experience
Bachelor Degree required

5years of Medicare experience 

3-7 years related work experience
