About The Role:
As the Director of Regulatory Compliance, you will be responsible for leading and implementing regulatory initiatives and policies on food labels. You will work closely with our Operations, R&D, Brand/Marketing, and Legal teams as well as external vendors and co-manufacturers to ensure opportunities for regulatory alignment within all brand statements.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and direct regulatory strategy, objectives, and programs pertaining to product development, labeling compliance components, and regulated marketing elements
- Provides regulatory guidance to internal groups to assess and identify regulatory risks associated with the commercialization process.
- Develop a process and validate data sources supporting product label content, claims, history of labeling changes, and reasons for differences in labeling
- Manage and monitor activities of Regulatory agencies and industry organizations to identify any changes in regulations
- Manage and collaborate with Feastables external legal & regulatory team in developing international regulatory strategy, labeling, and updating strategy upon regulatory changes
- Responsible for communicating regulations changes, establishing SOP, and training to ensure consistency across business units
Recipe For Success:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
- 10+ years of Regulatory Compliance/Regulatory Affairs. CPG is highly preferred
- Maintains strong knowledge of current US FDA CFR Title 21 regulations, best practices, and other developed and emerging CPG market regulatory requirements
- Experience in navigating and working with Genesis R&D
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical ideas and information clearly and effectively
- Experience in regulatory affairs and/or interacting with regulatory authorities is highly preferred
