Director of Regulatory AffairsAs the Director of Regulatory Affairs, you will be responsible for overseeing all regulatory operations within our manufacturing facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet regulatory standards, respond to customer inquiries, and stay abreast of evolving regulations in the national marketplace.This position requires expertise in flavor and fragrance regulations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Essential Responsibilities:Regulatory Operations ManagementOversee all regulatory operations, including scheduling duties for personnel and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and standardsManage and respond to customer and sales requests for regulatory information, including allergen, sensitizer, GMO, GRAS, vegetarian, vegan, COOL, EFFA, IRFA, SCCNFP statements, and moreDevelop and oversee label statements in accordance with 21CFR for finished goodsExpertise in Kosher, Nutritional, Country of Original, and Halal certifications, Trade Agreements (FTA), Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and related geographic regional trade activities (APAC, EMEA, LATAM, NA)Knowledgeable in hazard analysis, risk assessments and food safety conceptsDemonstrative understanding of Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated Final RulesData ManagementMaintain the database used for regulatory purposes, including raw and finished goods dataManage the raw materials processDevelop and implement new procedures to address future regulatory compliance issuesRegulatory ComplianceKeep the company updated on new regulations affecting the flavors and fragrance industryManage responses to new regulations and ensure the company s continued complianceRaw Materials and FormulasOversee the raw materials process and documentationParticipate in the management of formulas and assist with programs such as TBB, drawbacks, Kosher, Halal, and OrganicInterdepartmental CollaborationFoster effective working relationships with other departmentsEstablish efficient communication links with internal and external customersSafety LeadershipDemonstrate leadership in safety practices, ensuring the enforcement of safety rules and encouraging safe work behaviorsPromptly correct unsafe conditions and behaviorsTechnical Qualifications:BS, MS, PhD in food science, chemistry, microbiology or similarExperience with Microsoft D365 and Product VisionMinimum of five years of proven performance in regulatory compliance within the food, flavor, or fragrance industriesIn-depth experience in Regulatory Affairs in the food, flavor, or fragrance sectorsComprehensive understanding of industry regulations and acronyms, including GMP, Kosher, Halal, NOP, Allergens, labeling, TTB, IFRA, REACH, CAS number, Prop.65, and 484Strong people management skills and leadership abilitiesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointHighly analytical, with the ability to conduct advanced analyses independentlySelf-motivated, proactive team player with a strong work ethicDaily interaction with all levels of the team, including senior managementUnderstanding of FDA, USDA, and State Food Safety/Quality regulationsAbility to work with Customer & Regulatory AgenciesExport abilities and decision making in Food Safety, Regulatory, and QS application within food processingExcellent critical thinking and project management skillsAbility to present information to the business and or public in a professional, concise mannerAbility to successfully lead teams to enable them to effectively performAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment with facilities, regulatory agencies, and customersAbility to understand issues in relation to product manufacturing operations and their impactAbility to effectively organize, coordinate and executeAbility to help develop and/or execute strategic plans to meet departmental and organizational goals while complying with regulatory and customer requirements**If you d like to hear more about this opportunity and others we are currently working on, please contact Damon Wickmann at dwickmann cps4jobs.com.JO: 313.23DW#LI-DM2
