The Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance is responsible for the oversight and implementation of policies and procedures aimed to ensure compliance with appliable contract regulations, state, federal laws and regulations, security requirements, contract compliance and the corporate Quality Assurance Program. Additionally, should the organization acquire a Facility Security Clearance, (FCL) Facility Security Officer role and responsibilities would fall under this position as well. Works under the direction of the President and matrixed to IDS Program Leadership.
Responsibilities
1. Tracks and interprets laws or regulations impacting the business, and contract success and offers suggestions to functional managers seeking to ensure compliance.
2. Implement and oversee corporate-wide Quality Assurance Program across all contracts.
3. Ensure Compliance with Program and Contract Compliance, and applicable laws and regulations.
4. Collects and maintains compliance-related data or records that are accurate, complete, and fulfills legal requirements. Maintains personnel files or facility security logs.
5. Works with IDS Sr. Leadership to implement and ensure the necessary policies and protocols are in place to meet current and upcoming compliance and security requirements across all verticals, and mitigate risk.
6. Documents activities or processes that are meant to track or ensure compliance of organizational processes or functions.
7. Identifies gaps in documentation, or potential areas of non-compliance. Ensures systems are updated appropriately.
8. Responds to standard requests for documentation or records based on established guidelines.
9. Maintains a repository of forms, handbooks, policies, or other documents that are needed to comply with applicable regulations or standards.
10. Conducts initial reviews of alleged compliance violations and escalates to executive leadership as needed.
11. Support HR in the processing of employee security clearances and background investigations.
12. Conducts security training and briefings.
13. Conducts periodic tests and audits of organizational operations. Participates in audits or inspections.
14. Completes other duties and projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education – bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
Administrative – Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
Interpersonal –Must possess skills enabling effective interaction with leadership, customers, and providers.
Organizational – Organization skills are key.
Analytical – Excellent writing and computer competency skills. Ability to identify, plan and solve problems with little oversight.
Communication – Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to listen and follow through on requests. Ability to understand and keep up to date on contract requirements, legal statutes and Compliance requirements.
Physical Requirements – Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Moderate lifting.
