Job description

Job Purpose
Provides leadership and direct oversight of all aspects of Clearview Cancer Institute's quality or business improvement efforts, such as developing and administrating quality programs and accreditations including but not limited to Quality Payment Program (QPP), Clinical Quality Measures (CQM), and Value Based Care Models. The Director of Quality and Value Based Care is responsible for identifying and directing the company's performance excellence and necessary improvement goals, strategies and projects related to quality standards and safety in operational and clinical systems and processes as well as other quality studies conducted by/participated in by Clearview Cancer Institute.
Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee the quality control and performance improvement processes throughout all departments within the organization and collaborate with other leaders in the organization to develop plans and approaches for specific programs including criteria, data collection, data analysis, and data submission.
  • Be responsible for leading the development, implementation, integration, and adoption of new and established programs related to Quality and regulatory initiatives.
  • Leads the data collection, analysis, reporting and monitoring of essential operational and clinical areas of focus related to Quality and regulatory issues and recommends methods for process improvement based on performance results.
  • Serves as the lead for performance improvement projects developing and executing complete project plans to foster the effective implementation of desired changes.
  • Responsible for value-based care initiatives such as federal, state, and private payer programs/contracts.
  • Coordinate, manage and report core measures, MIPS/MACRA, and other metrics as assigned.
  • Serves as the primary point of accountability in working with IT and other core services support departments to assure quality/regulatory needs are met.
  • Works closely with clinical and non-clinical teams for improvement on key performance metrics to include improvement of clinical outcomes, patient experience, patient safety, costs and revenue, productivity, employee satisfaction, and process reliability.
  • Leads/facilitates organizational Quality Committee and/or other quality/regulatory meetings.
  • Be responsible for coordinating and reporting results and outcomes to the COO and the Board of Directors.
  • Develops and executes a plan to educate departments on relevant Quality and regulatory affairs.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the organization as a whole.

Qualifications
Qualifications include:
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and under stressful situations.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, writing, communication, public speaking, and time management skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Must be able to oversee multiple, complex projects/initiatives simultaneously while meeting or exceeding established deadlines.
  • Knowledge related to US healthcare systems, US oncology market, and quality assurance, risk management, and outcomes.
  • Ability to innovate, analyze, and solve problems or potential issues.
  • Advanced PC skills.

Education/Experience
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Policy or similar discipline is preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of regulatory and/or quality experience is preferred.
  • Project management experience required.
  • Certified Healthcare Compliance Officer (CHCO), Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), or Certified Healthcare Quality Professional (CPHQ) is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in analyses using administrative or EMR database preferred.

Working conditions
This position works in the administration department in a busy oncology/hematology clinic. No direct patient contact is required. This position may have to work overtime (nights or weekends) in order to complete tasks. Travel as required for education and/or training.
Physical requirements
This position requires that the employee be able to sit in front of a computer for the duration of the work day. This position also requires that the employee be able to stand and walk for the duration of the workday.
