Director of Professional Services

Medi Home Health & Hospice, a division of Medical Services of America Inc., is currently seeking an experienced Full-Time Director of Professional Servicesfor our location in Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Newport News, Hampton, Portsmouth, Suffolk (Hampton Roads) VA.

• General oversight of patient care and effective management of utilization of services.
• Coordination of agency functions.
• Oversee/supervise team of clinical and non-clinical staff including full-time & PRN RNs, LPNs, PTs, OTs, and Home Health Aides

Job Requirements

• A Registered Nurse (RN). BSN strongly preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of VA.
• Progressive clinical and management experience in a home health setting strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years in a MEDICARE CERTIFIED home health agency setting required.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of federal/state laws and guidelines pertaining to home health and Medicare.
• High level management skills needed to be successful in the role as a leader to include conflict management, negotiation, team building, communication and coaching/mentoring others.
