JOB SUMMARY
Boa Vida Healthcare is a hospital management company that currently has 3 hospitals and over 100 providers in three states. We are looking for an experienced Director to lead our Payor Contracting and Credentialing department. This person oversees the contracting/credentialing/recredentialing process for our facilities, clinics, and providers. This position currently has two direct reports.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conducts negotiations with Payors on behalf of our hospitals, clinics and providers.
· Perform required recredentialing/recertification as needed for each of the Payors.
· Assist Revenue Cycle in loading the contracts into the Contract Management application.
· Work with Revenue Cycle to determine which Payors a specific clinic should contract with based on the local market.
· Work with our Privileging staff to keep the provider files current.
· Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations.
· Ability to perform contract modeling.
· Understanding of healthcare reimbursement payment methodologies.
· Strong problem solving and quantitative abilities.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Training
· Progressive experience with hospital and clinic Payor Contracting and Credentialing procedures with a minimum of 3 – 5 years.
· Managerial experience 3 – 5 years
· Bachelor degree preferred (or equivalent work experience) in business, or related health care discipline.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
