Our client, a well-established electronics manufacturer with a loyal clientele, is looking for a passionate and analytical Director of Operations to add to their team in Melbourne, FL. You’ll oversee daily operations while contributing to the strategic execution of business objectives. Their CEO is retiring in the next four years and their parent company is looking for someone to prove their ability to effectively run the day-to-day before taking the reins to oversee the company. Director of Operations (manufacturing & supply chain exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Manage each department (5 Direct/45 Indirect) to effectively plan production
• Develop and execute strategic plans to improve profitability and productivity
• Optimize inventory levels and strengthen supplier relationships
• Apply Lean manufacturing principles to enhance customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with ISO registration requirement
• Evaluate, document, and enhance processes that lead to increased efficiency
• Establish individual performance plans and ongoing education initiatives
• Champion a culture of innovation and creativity in problem-solving
• Collaborate with the Finance Team to develop budgets and ensure cost controls
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions
• Partner with ELT to recommend process improvements that drive business goals
Director of Operations (manufacturing & supply chain exp. req.) Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 3+ years of leadership experience required
• 7+ years of Operations, production, and supply chain required
• Experience overseeing electronic or electromechanical assembly required
• Background in leveraging BI applications for data visualization required
