SUMMARY: Responsible for supervising the maintenance and operation of the school facilities including the general building maintenance, mechanical maintenance and repair, custodial services, utility systems, transportation, and general grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Inspects and maintains all physical facilities on a planned basis to insure a good appearance, cleanliness and the proper operation of all equipment within the buildings and grounds.
Conducts a proactive preventive maintenance program.
Responsible for the proper maintenance of all utility distribution systems; electrical, gas, plumbing, water, sewer and storm drains.
Responsible for maintaining a safe and accessible campus in the event of inclement weather.
Responsible for coordinating bus transportation needs to include to/from sending schools activities or field trips.
Coordinate with the administrative team for the daily operation of the school in the areas of facilities, grounds, and transportation. To include supervision, planning, budgeting/purchasing of maintenance and transportation departments.
Responsible for soliciting quotes/bids for district's purchase services. To include all areas concerning building maintenance/repairs, district vehicles, maintenance supplies, and other facility and grounds contracts.
Responsible for coordinating maintenance/repairs of district's vehicles. To include development of a maintenance schedule for buses and other vehicles.
Coordinate with administrative team and staff regarding capital improvement projects. Includes short-term and long-range capital improvement planning and management of capital improvement projects.
Serve as the district's safety officer. To include coordination of emergency safety and evacuation plans, supervision of emergency drills, and maintaining campus and bus video camera systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include supervising all maintenance, transportation, and all contract labor.

Education/Experience: Bachelor degree preferred, or three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to wright simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate and present information.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to use and understand basic mathematical skills.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Oklahoma Department of Education Bus Driving Certificate required. Professional trade license preferred in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical or General Contractors License.
