Job Description
Director of Marketing is responsible for development and execution of our marketing campaigns and activities across all channels to meet organizational needs and fundraising goals. Working with the Chief Communications and Advocacy Officer, Graphic and Creative Design Specialist, and the Digital Content Specialist, they will drive integrated marketing campaigns, oversee digital strategy and content, and shape compelling storytelling and narratives. All responsibilities shall be consistent with Gleaners Food Bank's mission to be a leader in the fight against hunger.

Essential Functions:
- Develop and coordinate the execution of multi-channel marketing strategies to increase awareness, engagement, and revenue goals.
- Update and monitor website content (dynamic and written) regularly.
- Oversee the development of website landing pages.
- Oversight of content management and execution of Gleaners’ social media channels (including Facebook, X, YouTube, Instagram, Blog, and emerging platforms).
- Measure effectiveness of digital marketing strategies through identifying and managing KPIs (key performance indicators) and developing reports to assess against goals.
- Monitor statistics for website, e-mail and social media channels to measure impact, set goals to increase engagement and revenue.
- Track website analytics and provide reports to Senior Director of Communications and Digital Strategy as requested.
- Manage, create and distribute Gleaners email marketing and solicitation, including e-Newsletters.
- Write/edit content for e-blasts and e-Newsletters to increase readership, engagement, and fundraising revenue.
- Project management for direct mail program.
- Create project calendar including all deadlines and mailing dates.
- Oversee project management, coordinating with other team members for key components (list, content, creative, etc.
- Coordinate messaging across print and electronic format
- Develop Strategy for enhancing and maintaining Gleaners’ Story bank for digital and traditional marketing and fundraising; oversee content development program.
- Oversee content and design of communication and marketing materials.
- Lead and motivate team by providing supervision, regular feedback, open communication, coaching, training, evaluation, and discipline as needed.
- Assist with development of expense budget; monitor adherence to budget over course of year.
- Contribute to the development of the fundraising budget and goals.
- All other duties as required.
Skills/Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities an individual needs in order to perform this job successfully.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in related field.
- Three or more years of digital marketing/sales experience, with strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital marketing and social media channels.
- Graphic design skills, working with Adobe Creative Suite products and WordPress web management platform preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communications skills.
- Ability to professionally communicate with all audiences (volunteers, donors, corporate contacts, staff members, etc.)
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills are essential.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Experience with coordination and preparation of project budgets.
- Continuous improvement methodology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products and basic office equipment.
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools
- In-depth knowledge of Pardot and WordPress preferred.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Products such as: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc
- Knowledge of and familiarity with donor database systems/CRM and online advocacy tools a plus
- Strong project manager with attention to details in planning and execution.
- Strong time management skills, sound judgment, and timely and effective decision-maker.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Competency in planning and execution of projects and plans, balancing short-term tactical and long-term strategies.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Valid driver's license/Clean driving record /Must be insurable by company vehicle insurance provider.

Work Environment:
