Summary
The Director of Institutional Giving will be responsible for creating an executive philanthropic giving strategy focused on corporations and foundations. Additionally, this role will be charged with researching government funding opportunities to support the College’s programs, employees, and strategic framework.
Job Responsibilities
- Create Institutional Giving strategy, with emphasis on corporations and foundations, especially those located in Lake County
- Source prospects whose impact investment strategy aligns with the College’s priorities
- Identify public funding opportunities that support the College’s priorities
- Develop grant applications, including appropriate grant budgets, that align with funder’s strategy and the College’s funding priorities
- Oversee reporting requirements and deadlines for all institutional funders
- Partner with Faculty & Staff to help craft personalized impact report and programmatic updates as necessary
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years fundraising experience required, 7–10 years preferred. Must possess strong writing and communication skills. Must be proficient in print, phone, and digital fundraising tools and platforms. Preference for candidates with experience using Slate CRM or similar, Mailchimp or similar email design software. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and capable of using other standard Microsoft Office applications. Ability to develop project budgets. Prior public and private grant writing experience. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a variety of College’s partners.
