This position is located in the Government Accountability Office. As a Director of Information Systems Security Group you will be responsible for establishing GAO policy and guidance on IT security; assesses Information Systems and technology for security capabilities; monitors IT security risks, controls, and effectiveness; and fosters agency-wide security awareness. ISSG ensures that sensitive data residing GAO's Information Systems is available and protected.Qualifications:

You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band or level equivalent to the PT-III/GS-13 in the Federal Service, or comparable private/public sector experience which has equipped the applicant with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experienceis defined as experience managing and overseeing the cybersecurity program and ensuring its compliance with federal regulations; overseeing and managing the cyber security operations, providing guidance and leadership to the cybersecurity team while protecting business assets and evaluating and understanding the threat landscape and managing the effectiveness of the cyber-risk program.
