Director of Human Trafficking Services – Full Time, Monday-Friday

The Center for Prevention of Abuse (CFPA) is seeking a passionate individual to join our leadership team as the Director of the department for Human Trafficking Services, headquartered at the main Peoria location. Our mission at CFPA is to help all people – women, men, and children, live free from violence and abuse, and our department directors are instrumental in bringing that mission to life.

The director of Human Trafficking Services (HTS) will lead a growing department and will be an innovator in developing and providing services to trafficking victims as well as provide crucial education opportunities and trainings to first responders and other community stakeholders in the large region CFPA services. Human trafficking victims are often physically and emotionally abused, threatened, lied to, and tricked. Victims are both foreign-born and domestic and are exploited for the purposes of commercial sex and/or forced labor. CFPA serves all survivors of Human Trafficking regardless of the type of trafficking they have been subjected to, no matter age, gender, culture, foreign-born or domestic.

CFPA’s HTS Department works with all other departments to provide effective crisis intervention and case management services. Department provides client-centered and trauma-informed support to promote self-reliance, positive self-esteem, and necessary life skills.

All department leaders are expected to be organized, ambitious, and excited to create and sustain strong relationships with service providers and practitioners within the field. Departmental leaders must be able to effectively communicate and educate individuals in both small and large public settings about Human Trafficking and the agency.

Prefer a master’s degree in human services field, or a bachelor’s degree in human services with experience working with victims of sexual and domestic violence. Must be passionate about CFPA’s mission, work well independently and as a team, and have exceptional soft skills.

CFPA operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, and all victim services are free and confidential.
