Summary of Responsibilities

As our Director of Human Resources, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of our fully remote organization. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around developing and implementing human resource policies and systems that ensure the well-being and professional development of our growing team. You'll spearhead the establishment of performance metrics and reviews that reflect our core values and contribute to Liberty Rent's upward trajectory.

Essential Functions

HR Policy and Process Shaping:

  • Craft and implement HR policies and processes that champion a people-centric approach during a period of rapid growth
  • Ensure these policies align with the company's core values and support a positive workplace culture
  • Work closely with senior management to align HR strategies with the company's overall objectives and vision

Performance Metrics and Review Development:

  • Drive the establishment of performance metrics and reviews that reflect the company's values and contribute to its growth trajectory
  • Develop comprehensive systems to evaluate and enhance employee performance

Recruitment, Talent Development, and Training Initiatives:

  • Build and refine recruitment pipeline, hiring processes, and onboarding programs
  • Lead the development and implementation of in-house training programs and initiatives that nurture talent, support staff development, and align with organizational objectives

Cultural Leadership:

  • Foster a vibrant, fun, and collaborative culture within the remote work environment while maintaining a sharp focus on achieving results and productivity
  • Encourage a workplace atmosphere that values feedback, openness, and innovation

PEO Provider Management and Liaison:

  • Manage and serve as the primary point of contact for our Professional Employer Organization (PEO) provider
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration provided by PEO

Legal and Compliance Oversight:

  • Oversee all HR-related legal and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations
  • Develop and maintain policies that uphold legal standards and protect the company's interests

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • At least 7 years of proven experience in a senior Human Resource Management role
  • At least 3 years of remote work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field
  • Experience with a full range of HR duties, including recruitment, staffing, employee relations, conflict resolution, policy implementation, training, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Expertise in crafting and implementing HR policies, processes, and performance metrics
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of nurturing a people-first culture
  • Ability to communicate with a range of personalities and learning styles
  • Ability to thrive in a remote environment, work independently, and be a self-starter
  • Must have a visionary mindset with a knack for driving change, innovation, and growth
  • SHRM certification a plus
  • Strong technology skills including experience with Google Suite and Microsoft 365
  • While this role is fully remote with limited travel, preference will be given to candidates in the Southeast region of the United States

Compensation

  • $110,000-$130,000 (depending on experience)
  • Medical and dental insurance for employee and family, 100% premium paid by Liberty Rent
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Bonus incentives
