Responsible for the coordination and management of technical operations of the gaming department. Responsibilities involve research, analysis, and project management. Provides oversight and support to the HHR Technician Manager. Responsible for the analysis of Gaming reports to optimize the performances of Gaming equipment and the daily repair and maintenance of all HHR machines, the player tracking system and related equipment on the gaming floor.

  • Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests. Demonstrates #AddLife culture in all interactions with guests and co-workers.
  • Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
  • Creates, develops, and implements an effective organizational strategy, setting clear and attainable goals.
  • Formulates and makes recommendations regarding policies, administration, and procedures, works closely with other executives and managers in planning and carrying out activities and programs to assure the meeting of company and departmental objectives, ensures quality of management in all areas of the organization.
  • Responsible for evaluation, installation, development, integration, testing, configuration, upgrades, documentation, troubleshooting, and support of assigned systems including player tracking systems, Exacta Systems, Ainsworth Systems, OPTX platform and their associated interfaces. Additional systems and platforms may be assigned.
  • Maintains and manages system issues lists with the associated vendors.
  • Maintains a constant awareness of the latest gaming regulations and works closely with regulatory authorities and various internal control staff members to ensure regulatory and operational practice compliance.
  • Maintains comprehensive industry familiarity with gaming practices, works closely with other property key personnel in exchanging information on gaming activities and develops proper security measures to ensure the integrity of the operation.
  • Establishes department standards, guidelines and objectives and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient gaming operation.
  • Recommends and implements process improvements and purchases that will improve system performance, user productivity, customer satisfaction and/or reduce costs.
  • Monitors and evaluates department to ensure the proper planning for short and long-term strategies; monitors and evaluates performance of the technical operations to facilitate ongoing improvement of operations and financial return.
  • Reviews strengths and weaknesses of the operations such as win per machine, hold percentage, and general policies and procedures to most effectively implement changes to improve operations and most efficiently allocate resources.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as applicable.
  • Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
  • Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Must be able and willing to travel approximately 50% or more a month.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities: In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
  • Obtain and retain required license(s).
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.

Position Qualifications: BA/BS degree preferred plus a minimum of three (3) years of applicable experience; other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design and development, vendor management, enterprise application support (ERP/CRM), and a strong business understanding is required. Experience working in an ERP or CRM environment. Must maintain a strong understanding of operational procedures as they relate to system usage. Must have a proven track record of leading numerous projects simultaneously, establishing effective priorities among competing requirements and meeting deadlines while demonstrating a successful hands-on approach to overseeing all assigned projects. Must possess strong administrative, analytical, time management and decision-making skills. Must have a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required. This position interfaces with all departments and outside vendors. Must have experience working directly with customers in understanding business needs. Excellent communication skills are required.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License

Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages subordinates who may supervise employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit(s).
